Tekmar Controls

The tekmarNet®2 House Control 406 is designed to operate the equipment in a 2-pipe, single tank, hydronic heating and cooling system. It operates two heat pump stages (water-to-water or air-to-water) with a backup heat source (boiler or electric resistance). The heat pump provides either hot or chilled water to a storage tank loop and optional mixed temperature loop. For radiant heating, the water temperature is calculated using Outdoor Temperature Reset. For radiant cooling, the chilled water temperature is maintained at an adjustable setpoint, or is adjusted using dew-point reset with a humidity sensor. A backup boiler can provide an Outdoor Temperature Reset water temperature as well as domestic hot water and setpoint water temperatures. The 406 operates 4 on-board heating and cooling zones and is expandable up to 52 zones on the boiler, tank, and mix water temperatures.

The Universal Reset Module 422 is designed to operate all of the mechanical equipment in a hydronic heating system, except for zones, coordinating their operation through network communication. It can be used in applications ranging from a single zone of baseboard with an on/off boiler to multiple fan coils, mixed radiant floor zones, and a modulating/condensing boiler. This control regulates up to two heating water temperatures through Outdoor Temperature Reset and Indoor Temperature Feedback. It is capable of controlling a single on/off, two stage, or modulating boiler, a mixing device, Domestic Hot Water, setpoint loads, and can expand up to 24 zones in total for each heating water temperature.

The Universal Reset Module 423 is designed to operate all of the mechanical equipment in a hydronic heating system, except for zones, coordinating their operation through network communication. It can be used in applications ranging from a single zone of baseboard with an on/off boiler, to four temperature systems comprised of multiple fan coils, baseboard, mixed radiant floor zones, and two modulating/condensing boilers. This control regulates up to four space heating water temperatures through Outdoor Temperature Reset and Indoor Temperature Feedback. It is capable of controlling two on/off or modulating boilers, Domestic Hot Water, setpoint loads, and can expand up to 24 zones for each space heating water temperature (96 in total).

The Mixing Expansion Module 440 is designed to operate a mixing device within a hydronic heating system as part of a tekmarNet® control system. It is capable of controlling a mixed system pump and a 24 V floating action mixing valve or a wet rotor circulator for variable speed injection.

The Mixing Expansion Module 441 is designed to operate any of the tekmar 3-way and 4-way brass mixing valves from type 710 through type 724. It provides 6 N•m (53 in•lbs) of torque over a 90° rotation. This product is controlled through digital communication on tekmarNet® systems.

The Mixing Expansion Module 444 is designed to operate a mixing device within a hydronic heating system as part of a tekmarNet® control system. It is capable of controlling a mixed system pump and six optional outputs for mixing: a variable speed injection pump, a floating action actuator, or an analog 0-10 V (dc), 2-10 V (dc), 0-20 mA, or 4-20 mA signal.

The tekmarNet® 4 User Switch 479 is a simple 3 button switch that provides an easy way to override system temperatures. This user switch is a must have for any tekmarNet® system. Using tekmarNet® 4 to communicate with any other compatible tekmarNet® devices, the 479 User Switch allows the owner to override their entire tekmarNet® system, and offers the potential for significant energy savings. With the push of a button, the user can place all thermostats and boiler controls into an “away” state and take advantage of saving energy when the building is not being used.

The tekmarNet® 4 User Switch 480 is a simple 3 button switch that provides an easy way to override system temperatures. With the push of a button, one can put all thermostats and boiler controls into an “unoccupied” or “away” state and take advantage of saving energy when the building is not being used. The buttons on this product are also programmable, allowing the user to experience scenes within their system. The 480 has three demand inputs that can provide access to tekmarNet® 4 scenes or setpoint devices from a telephone switch, home automation, or security systems.

The Programmable Thermostat 521 is designed for three different modes of operation: single stage heating, two stages of heating with a fan, or one stage of heating and one stage of cooling with a fan. Two auxiliary sensors may be added to measure the floor, outdoor or room temperature. A Slab Sensor 079 is included to measure floor temperature to protect the floor from overheating and enhance comfort. The programmable schedule supports either a 7 day or 24 hour schedule with 2 or 4 events per day. A permanent temperature hold button overrides the programmable schedule. An optional Adaptor Plate 012 is available to allow the thermostat to mount onto a single gang electrical box.

The tekmarNet® thermostat 552 is a communicating touchscreen thermostat designed for hydronic heating systems. The extra large touchscreen display allows you to easily adjust 7-day programmable schedules and room temperatures to optimize comfort and energy savings. It operates a single zone of heating and has two auxiliary sensor inputs that can be assigned to measure room, floor, or outdoor temperature. An optional floor sensor allows precise heating of radiant floors by controlling the floor temperature and maintaining the desired room air temperature. Alternatively the room air temperature sensor can also be disabled to solely maintain a minimum floor temperature. The 552 can be wired using 2 or 4 wires to connect to tekmarNet® zoning controls, or can be installed as a stand-alone thermostat using 3 wires.
